about

This album is like a perfect blend between my first two. There are phrases and chants, but only two tracks with actual singing. Parts of the album allow one to be bestowed amongst the cosmos, while others are more grounding.

All of the songs transition into one another and take you on the wave of life and existence in under 40 minutes.

IT IS MEANT TO BE LISTENED TO FROM START TO FINISH WITH HEADPHONES OR GOOD SPEAKERS.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Intro- the Universe coming into full fruition (up unto the point of the dawn of the humankind).

Sage and Seer (Parts 1 & 2)- The Sage & Seer (narrater of the song) represents concentrations of manifested energy to allow one to experience, or catch glimpses of, the transcendental realm. This could be a guru, a beautiful waterfall, an entheogen, or what have you.

(So Called) Eternity Blues- This composition represents samsara, or day-to-day life on the realm of the mundane. The eat, sleep, work, general sort of "normal" schedule.

Mountain Spring- This composition is like the Sage & Seer in the sense that it represents a bridge between the physical and ethereal realms of existence. It is like when you have had a rough period of time and then you sit next to a mountain stream and realize that all is well, and it makes you reflect on your life.

Confusion- This song contrasts with the previous two grounded compositions, for this is more of an avant-garde piece that represents the confused state which is often inevitable whenever you are living your normal day-to-day life (Eternity Blues) and then it is all contrasted by a beautiful and miraculous experience with something of the natural realm (Mountain Spring).

Hope- Out of confusion comes hope. This composition is the direct effect of the past three songs. You live a normal life, you awake and question it, then you become confused, now you have learned from your confusion and are balanced and filled with optimism and hope.

Epitaph- This is an interesting one where I collaborated with Joe Ridolfo (on sitar) and Jerry Wallace (on didgeridoo and percussion) while I play multiple guitars, percussion, and chants. This song, roughly seven and a half minutes long, symbolizes multiple occurrences throughout. Overall, it is symbolic for the end of the universe: the death, the collapse. It starts where everyone is turning on and becoming "woke." The speed of the raga increases and becomes more intense, until it climaxes as the universe itself becomes enlightened and ends. It uses the traditional Bhoopali Raga.

A Beginning- This is the rebirth of the universe. Climax has been achieved out of love and it is time for God to click the "refresh" button on the Google of existence. This final track is a short, peaceful one showing the true stillness and contentedness of everything within as it has always been since the beginning, implementing the traditional Native American key of F#m on a flute, backed by a buffalo hide frame drum, a rainstick, and some shakers.
